4D Baby Ultrasound - 30 weeks

This is so amazing and creepy at the same time! We were able to get a few pics during our 4D ultrasound session. He was really moving around a lot which distorts the image. We were not able to get a clean shot of his face but the pics are good enough to see some of his features. These pics do no justice, the DVD is so much more clear. It also captures the development of his personality! He is very active and it seems like he has a routine and is keeping himself entertained.

The tech said it is very difficult to see their eyes open but he had them opened most of the session. It creeped me out a little bit since you can only see one eye open and the other looks fused shut. In order to get the other eye, we would have had to be looking at his face straight on. We couldn't get him in that position because the other side of his face is pressed up against the placenta. Speaking of the placenta, he likes to lick it! And put the cord in his mouth! I went from having a duck, to having Skeletor to having a cannibal! The tech said this was completely normal and he is just playing and getting used to different textures.

18 - 21 weeks. IT'S A BOY!

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby boy! I had a feeling pretty early on that it would be a boy so I wasn't too shocked. Jimmy on the other hand, really wanted a girl first. When the technician told us it was a boy, his response was, "Are you sure?" He asked the tech if she could be looking at the arm and mistaking it for a penis! In the pic below, "P" marks the spot!

I mentioned earlier that the first ultrasound looked like a duck...now I'm giving birth to Skeletor! Here's some pics of me and baby at 21 weeks.
